A popular Christmas celebration is set to return to Peterborough Cathedral.
The event, titled "Christmas Magic," will take place at the cathedral on Saturday, December 14, offering two shows at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
The celebrations, featuring performances from Peterborough Male Voice Choir, Peterborough Voices, and Peterborough Community Chorus with Peterborough Festival Brass, promise to be a key part of the city's festivities.
The event, a highlight of the festive season, has been delighting audiences in Peterborough for more than ten years.
Mark Currier from Peterborough Male Voice Choir said: "It really is the start of Christmas for me.
"It’s a fantastic concert, great fun, in a wonderful setting."
Songs like "Away In A Manger," "Silent Night," and "Jingle Bells," will be performed, as well as Christmas favourites such as "O Holy Night," "The Christmas Song," and "Carol of the Bells."
The performances will take place against the backdrop of Peterborough Cathedral.
Bridget Pengelly from Peterborough Voices said: “It’s a real family affair, so bring along your nearest and dearest and I guarantee that you’ll leave with a huge smile on your face and a warm fuzzy festive feeling inside.”
More than 1,000 people attended last year's event, with positive feedback about the performances.
People described the performances as "amazing," and expressed their enjoyment.
The event welcomes people of all ages, offering a matinee show at 2.30pm for families, and an evening performance at 7.30pm.
The organisers encourage people to bring their children and grandparents, saying there is something for everyone.
Tickets for "Christmas Magic" can be purchased at peterboroughsings.org.uk or by calling 0333 666 3366.
They urge people to book in advance to ensure they don't miss out on this key part of Peterborough's Christmas celebrations.
