A couple are marking the 10th anniversary of a fundraising event.

The December Daily Dash was created by the husband and wife duo in gratitude for the care Sue Ryder nurses provided to the husband's father in his final days.

The father succumbed to cancer in 2015, just 18 months after the death of the man's mother from the same disease.

The December Daily Dash encourages participants to walk, jog, or run 1km, 3km, or 5km every day in December.

The aim is to raise funds for Sue Ryder's bereavement support and palliative care services.

The event started with just the couple and 11 friends.

Now, more than 2,000 people participate annually.

Over the past nine years, 3,500 people have raised more than £600,000.

The couple are hopeful more people will join the special 10th anniversary year.

Participants can take part indoors or outdoors, alone or with others.

People will be part of a supportive online community of Dashers, all committed to helping Sue Ryder support people when it matters most.
