Families will be in for a treat at Peterborough's Positively Ghoulish Halloween Trail.

The event, organised by Peterborough Positive and Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery, promises a day packed with fun and excitement for all ages.

It will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 11am to 3pm.

Families are encouraged to put on their best costumes and join the free trick-or-treat trail around the city centre.

Participants will be able to pick up maps detailing six shops and businesses hiding Halloween characters from the museum.

Children will have to solve each Halloween character's tricks to be rewarded with treats, including offers from participating businesses, free activities, and traditional trick-or-treat sweets.

The event also features free face-painting.

Families who complete the trail and return their map to the museum stand a chance to win family tickets to a film of their choice at the new Odeon cinema in Queensgate Shopping Centre.

Pep Cipriano, chief operating officer at Peterborough Positive, said: "After the success of last year’s Halloween trick-or-treat trail, we are thrilled to be working with the museum again to bring some ghoulish fun to the city centre.

"With the addition of face painting and the chance to win cinema tickets, this year’s event promises to be even more boo-rilliant."
