A lineup of top-tier DJs marked another successful weekend of music under the flyover in Peterborough bringing together fans of house music and drum and bass for two days of raving fusion.
Urban outdoor festival dance brand, Under, delivered everything you could want from a weekend of high impact music with a whirlwind of raw energy, incredible musicianship and impressive MCs.
As always, the organisation of the event was top-notch including warehouse style graffiti, impressive lightshow backdrops and excellent sound quality.
Two of the hottest names in house music, East End Dubs and SOSA, headlined on Saturday hosted by event brand Mixology, while Sunday saw the return of BBC Radio 1 DJ, Charlie Tee with her Unitee drum ‘n’ bass club brand, headlined by Dimension who replaced Shy FX - who unfortunately had to cancel at the last-minute owing to personal circumstances.
Attracting thousands of clubbers at a remarkable setting near Ferry Meadows country park, the weekend was a calendar gold tick, uniting music fans of all ages.
Day One: House Music Extravaganza
The weekend kicked off with a day dedicated to house music, with a lineup featuring a mix of local talent and renowned DJs, all of whom brought their A-game to the decks. The atmosphere was vibrant, with the crowd dancing non-stop to infectious tunes.
Stand out were East End Dubs bringing their big Balearic Ibiza vibe to the party people of Peterborough. Also, SOSA and Sidney Charles who set the crowd into overdrive for pure dance joy.
Day Two: Drum & Bass Takeover
The second day was packed with drum & bass, kicking off with eastern region’s finest for the last three decades, DJ Barrington. Stand out performance during the day was the infectious hype energy of female MC Savvy B, who was on fire alongside Charlie Tee’s bass-ripping set. The pair are a winning combination and a must-see if you haven’t already had the pleasure.
Also stand out was Dimension whose high energy set was palpable from the moment the first beat dropped, with heavy basslines bouncing off the concrete surroundings.
Overall Experience
The Nene Flyover was once again a perfect location for the two music genres, creating an event with an underground feel and sense of community. It was a perfect reminder of how powerful, uplifting and unifying music can be.
