Peterborough Cathedral volunteers have dedicated over 13,000 hours of work in the past year.
Those from all walks of life have contributed in various operations of the cathedral.
Paul Stainton, the church’s marketing and communication manager expressed his appreciation: “Without the selfless dedication of their time and effort the Cathedral would simply have to stop doing much of what we do.
"Our volunteers come from all walks of life and from all age groups but one thing that they all have in common is a kindness of spirit, something which never ceases to amaze me.”
One notable achievement included facilitating the successful execution of the "Monsters of the Sea" exhibition, where volunteers logged in nearly 3,000 hours of service.
Such commitment has attracted over 20,000 guests.
The cathedral thanked each volunteer for their remarkable efforts.
