A Peterborough-based nursery held a heart-warming inaugural graduation ceremony marked by songs and storytelling.

Thorpe Nursery, an extension of Peterborough Keys Academies Trust's Thorpe Primary School, recognised its first batch of Nursery graduates.

Parents, staff, special guests were in attendance at the delightful event which showcased the pupils' talents.

CEO of the Trust, Dr Ian Young, presented each graduate with a certificate and a gift.

Nursery class teacher, Miss Joyce said: "We are very proud of our Nursery children; we have had lots of fun learning through play and through a range of real-life experiences."

Head teacher, Miss Anderson shared the school's plans for the graduates: "We were delighted to celebrate the children’s graduation with their families, and we look forward to welcoming them into Reception in September.
