Playtimes at a Peterborough school have been transformed with a creative twist thanks to a local builders merchant.
Welland Academy joined the OPAL Programme to reimagine and redesign their playground using resources from Selco Builders Warehouse's Peterborough branch.
The branch donated materials such as wood, pallets, plastic pipes, chains, and buckets to support the school's initiative of promoting fresh and exciting play experiences for the children.
Tanya Peebles, from Welland Primary Academy, credited Selco for backing the endeavour.

Tanya Peebles said: “We are so grateful to Selco for their support.
"They have absolutely embraced what we are trying to do at the school to make playtime more interesting and exciting for our pupils.
“The OPAL Primary Programme is all about giving children the type of experiences we enjoyed in our childhood, using basic materials to be creative.
"They can build things, climb ropes, or play in the sand. It’s about helping them to learn their limits in a safe environment."
The Peterborough branch of Selco Builders Warehouse opened its doors last year, not just providing convenience to locals but also creating 30 jobs.
The OPAL Primary Programme provides schools with structured support for up to two years to enable enduring environmental and cultural changes.
