Peterborough Nene Veterinary Group open day July 11

Nene Veterinary Group will hold an open day at its Broadway surgery next month, giving visitors a chance to meet its vets, veterinary nurses and support teams and find out more about the pet healthcare services it offers. 

Between 1-5pm on July 11, visitors can join hourly tours of the building, which offer a unique insight into the facilities, including the refurbished operating theatre and the practice’s new bereavement room.

Young pet lovers can take part in a colouring competition and a raffle will be held to raise funds for two local rescue centres, Ravenswood Pet Rescue and Little Angels Staffie Rescue. 

Nene Vets is also holding open days at its March surgery on July 9 and Wisbech branch on July 10.

Amanda Starsmore-Sutton, practice manager at Nene Vets Peterborough, said: “We are very proud of our three branches and how they provide the highest standards of care to local pets.

She added: "Visitors can join the tours to discover what our surgeries offer and, if their pet should ever need treatment, it’ll give them peace of mind that we can deliver the very best care.”

At each event, representatives of pet healthcare companies will be on hand to chat to pet owners about topics including dentistry, mobility issues and parasite control.

Plus, the first 50 visitors through the door at each practice will receive a goody bag.
