Two Peterborough pools are to re-open to the public early in July 2024, several weeks before the school holidays.
Central Park Paddling Pool will open from 2 July 2024, from 10am to 6pm, Tuesdays to Sundays.
Bretton Water Park will open on the same schedule a week later, on 9 July 2024.
Entry to both pools is free.
A council spokesperson said of the opening date for Bretton: “Historically we have opened earlier but when we have done so use has been very minimal until the weather improves and the summer holidays start.
“So as a result we consolidated both splash parks to be open for the main two summer months, and we hope the residents of Peterborough enjoy their use.”
Central Park has a number of other attractions, including children's play areas, sandpit and soft play, sunken garden and sensory garden, and various sports facilities.
Bretton Water Park, in Barnstock, is also ideal for the family for free and features fun fountains.
