Urban outdoor festival dance brand, Under, returns to its home under the Nene Parkway Flyover in Peterborough this August with another epic two-day rave.
Two of the hottest names in house music, East End Dubs and SOSA, will headline on Saturday 17 August hosted by event brand Mixology, while Sunday 18 August sees the return of BBC Radio 1 DJ, Charlie Tee with her Unitee drum ‘n’ bass club brand, headlined by legend of the scene, Shy FX.
Attracting thousands of clubbers at a remarkable setting under the bridge, complete with large-scale graffiti murals, tickets are available from £24.95 from www.under.events
Since its beginnings as a one-day event three years ago, Under has morphed into an essential calendar dance event which has staged some of the world’s best DJs at its iconic location, including Sub Focus, Hedex, Richy Ahmed, Hannah Wants, Roger Sanchez and Sam Divine, as well as giving local DJ talent a platform to perform.
Following a three-day May Bank Holiday bash, the Under crew are ready to do it again.
Saturday 17 August is staged by the east of England club promoter, Mixology, which has lined up the cultured selector East End Dubs, who’ll keep crowds locked in with his stripped-back, distinctive grooves from the worlds of house, garage and tech.
The Eastenderz label boss and TRMNL regular will be complimented by the hypnotic grooves of SOSA.
Sunday 18 August is hosted by Unitee events, founded by Radio 1 Drum ‘n’ Bass show presenter, Charlie Tee.
The self-confessed music nerd represents everything special about the new wave of inclusive energy exploding in dance music culture right now, and who better to showcase where it all started than the ‘Original Nuttah’, Shy FX.
From scoring several UK crossover hits including ‘Shake Your Body’ to maintaining his underground credibility with tracks such as ‘Bye Bye Bye’ featuring Chronixx, few jungle and drum 'n' bass artists have successfully straddled both ends of the spectrum, like Shy FX.
The setting beneath the Nene Parkway Flyover offers a clubbing experience like no other mixing industrial warehouse rave vibe with a backdrop of scenic landscape of the River Nene and Nene Park.
Giant Graffitti on the pillars of the concrete flyover bridge is provided by JXC, Nathan “Nyces” Murdoch, Gnasher Mural and Hero 32, as well as a huge mural by the infamous Helch.
Various tickets are available from day and weekend passes to VIP and discounted group packages. Starting from £24.95 for a day ticket and £59.95 for a weekend ticket, Under is serious value for money.
Running from 12 midday until 10pm, and with a ton of talent yet to be announced, the August Weekender of Under is already shaping up to be one of the most in-demand daytime club tickets this summer.
