Crews from the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) are set to feature on a popular Channel 4 show tonight (May 21).

Channel 4's show, Emergency Helicopter Medics, closely follows the work done by air ambulance medics.

Viewers living in East Anglia should pay particular attention to tonight's episode at 8pm, as the team at the EAAA will be on our screens.

Throughout the series, viewers will get to see patients that were attended to by the EAAA.

These include someone involved in a crash on the roads, a patient who suffered a head injury after a fall, and a patient who received a serious leg injury after a jet ski accident.

The show regularly pulls in around 500,000 viewers, and shows the work of other air ambulance services across the country.

Dr Victor Inyang, EAAA Medical Director says: "We are humbled to have the opportunity to share the 24/7 life-saving work of EAAA through Emergency Helicopter Medics.

"It highlights the incredibly varied and challenging missions that we attend across the region, and the critical care interventions performed by crews at the scene of medical emergencies.

"The programme gives the viewers a real behind the scenes insight into our work, how their donations help us to save lives by taking advanced skills, equipment and medicine to scene.

"EAAA is now tasked to an average of eight critical care emergencies every day from the charity’s bases in Norwich and Cambridge.

"The programme also highlights the serious nature of the incidents we attend and the impact that they can have on our patients and their families."
