The Marks and Spencer store at Queensgate in Peterborough closes its doors for good this weekend.
The Bureau de Change and Cafe closed on April 6 – and the wider store has its final day of trading close of business tomorrow (Saturday).
It has not been revealed exactly how many jobs are affected.
But a previous statement from M&S when it was proposing the closure said alternative roles within the chain were being offered to its workforce “wherever possible”.
At the time, Craig Burton, M&S Regional Manager, said: “Shopping habits are changing, so we’re rotating our store estate to make sure we have the right stores to offer customers a brilliant shopping experience.”
He added: “In recent years we have invested over £31m in our stores in the East of England and we look forward to working with the local council to bring forward plans for further future investment into Peterborough and the wider local area.”

When thanking customers who have shopped at the store, he explained there is also the local M&S Peterborough Brotherhood store and an M&S Foodhall in the Serpentine Green shopping centre.
