Residents in Peterborough are being encouraged to think “reuse” during this year’s spring-cleaning period and to utilise The Benjamin Foundation’s donation point at Fengate Household Recycling Centre (HRC).
Peterborough City Council and FCC Environment - a leading recycling and waste management company in the UK – are working in partnership with The Benjamin Foundation and supporting the charity by providing stock for their shops.
Around 90 per cent of households in the UK undertake a deep clean at least once a year, and while many dread this task, it’s the perfect time to clear out the clutter and give those unneeded items a second life.
Fengate HRC acts as a donation point for the residents of Peterborough to take any items and support The Benjamin Foundation.
They are always on the lookout for furniture, sports equipment, and homeware for their shops.
Operations manager for The Benjamin Foundation, Paul Sinclair, said: “The donations we receive from the Peterborough residents have enabled the foundation to support children and young adults with a range of projects.
