M&S has confirmed its store in the Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, will be closing its doors next month.
The national chain had previously announced a proposal to close its city centre store – but has only just revealed the closure date.
The final day of trading will be April 20, 2024.
It is not known how many jobs will be affected but a previous statement proposing the closure said alternative roles within M&S would be offered “wherever possible”.

At the time, Craig Burton, M&S Regional Manager, said: “Shopping habits are changing, so we’re rotating our store estate to make sure we have the right stores to offer customers a brilliant shopping experience.”
He added: “In recent years we have invested over £31m in our stores in the East of England and we look forward to working with the local council to bring forward plans for further future investment into Peterborough and the wider local area.”
When thanking customers who have shopped at the store, he explained there is also the local M&S Peterborough Brotherhood store and an M&S Foodhall in the Serpentine Green shopping centre.
