Rock choir members from Downham Market, Swaffham, King’s Lynn, Peterborough and Wisbech have raised £497.83 for Comic Relief.
They carried out fundraising at choir rehearsals and performed surprise flash mobs in the town centres of Wisbech, King's Lynn and Peterborough.
They also baked cakes, dressed in red along with some comical accessories and all whilst singing their hearts out. They have contributed to the astounding £35,000 raised by rock choirs across the UK.
Rock choir leader Sally Rose said: “I am so proud of all my 'Rockies' who took a chance on the weather and who raided their wardrobes and turned out in decorated wellies to raise money for Comic Relief.
!Everyone had an amazing time and felt that all their efforts were appreciated by the public. We can’t wait to do it all again!”
Rock Choir is the largest contemporary choir in the world with more than 30,000 members. The entire membership will be pulling out all the stops to fundraise for Comic Relief in 2024.
Rock Choir members participated in numerous fundraising activities over the last few weeks for Comic Relief.
These ranged from surprise singing flash mobs, 12-hour sing-a-thons, bake sales, comedy fundraising videos, singing session in the sea, singing mountain hikes, concerts, singing hula hoop sessions, Kazoo Choir and much more.
