Volunteer police cadets in Cambridgeshire gave up more than 134 hours to help in the community over February half term.
They helped from Monday, February 13 until Friday, February 17 last week at the Millfield Community Fridge, based at the Open Door Baptist Church, in Millfield, Peterborough.
They made 400 packed lunches for children, handed out 615 food parcels and went litter picking.
The cadets also spent Wednesday at the Fenland Museum in Wisbech, helping with arts and crafts.
Amanda Large, cadet leader, said: “I am so proud of the cadets who took part in the volunteering – some of them did four days which was a massive commitment.
“Seeing them doing such a great job and helping in their community has a real feel-good factor about it.”
She added: “We decided to help the community fridge as we were blown away by the hard work of the volunteers who give up their time each week and we could also see how much the fridge was needed by the surrounding community.
“The Fenland Museum had been closed for renovation works and they didn’t know how many visitors they would get so we thought the extra help would be useful.”
