Theatre actors and hockey players alike will take to the ice this Christmas period in Peterborough.
Those visiting the real ice rink on Peterborough’s Cathedral Square later this month on November 25 can expect some special appearances from Peterborough’s very own Peterborough Phantoms and the cast of Dick Whitington and his cat.
The Phantoms will take to the ice the same day between 1 and 3pm to show off their skills while they run through a training session on the rink.
Cast members from the upcoming production of Dick Whittington at the Key Theatre will also be on the ice from 5pm that day.
Councillor Steve Allen, cabinet member for culture at Peterborough City Council, said: “We are delighted that the Peterborough Phantoms want to use our real ice rink.
“I can’t wait to see the pantomime characters either, wonder who will be good at ice skating, will it be Queen Rat or Tommy the Cat?”
