A vacant space in a Peterborough shopping centre is to open as two new stores.
Queensgate has announced that Frasers Group plc is to open a Frasers and Sports Direct in the former John Lewis.
A spokesperson for Queensgate said: "The Frasers concept store will house an array of brands across men’s, women’s and kidswear, as well as a homeware and beauty, alongside a 30,000 sq. ft Sports Direct.
"The engaging sports destination will showcase the world’s biggest sports and leisure brands, as well as offer more brands including USC, Jack Wills and GAME.
Ed Ginn, director of investment management at Invesco Real Estate, said: “The signing of Frasers Group is a significant step in our drive to transform Queensgate into a leading retail and leisure destination.
“Positioned in the top 1% of UK shopping centres, we are committed to investing in brands that will enhance the centre.
Following the completion of landlord works, Frasers Group is due to take access to the space in 2025.
