Students at Ormiston Bushfield Academy in Peterborough are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results.
The academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), has shared some individual success stories:
Lilly-Beth who successfully achieved grade 9 in maths, English, combined science and history and grade 8 in English literature, French, and art and a distinction grade in performing arts.
Olly who achieved grade 9s in chemistry, maths and physics, and grade 8 in biology, English, geography, grade 7 in French, English literature and a distinction in hospitality and catering.
Nedas who secured grade 9 in English language and history, and 8 in English literature, maths, in addition, distinction* in business and grade 7s in combined science and distinction in creative iMedia.
Anastasia who obtained grade 9 in English language, English literature, and history, and an 8 in maths, in addition, distinction* in business and grade 7s chemistry, physics and biology.
Flavia who received grade 9 in French and Portuguese, and 8s in maths, chemistry, biology, in addition, distinction* in business and grade 7s in physics and English literature and distinction in creative iMedia.
Amongst many departmental successes highlights include the English department continuing the outstanding results with 84% of students attaining grade 4 or above and 41% of the history students achieved a grade 7 or higher.
Dennis Kirwan, principal at Ormiston Bushfield Academy, said: “I am absolutely delighted with every student receiving their results today.
“All of them have worked extremely hard and should be very proud of themselves.
“All of us at the academy – as well as families and the wider Ormiston Bushfield community – will be celebrating their successes today and cheering them on as they take their next steps.”
